Karan Johar’s directorial “Student Of The Year” is one of the highest grossing films in 2012. The film has introduced three actors including Alia Bhatt, Siddarth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan to the Bollywood and they have become stars in no time. Now, the makers are all set to launch the sequel of this romantic comedy.
Already it is known that Tiger Shroff is playing the main lead and the makers took so much time to pick the leading ladies for him. Initially, there were rumours that Miss World Manushi Chillar and Sridevi’s daughter Janvi Kapoor were roped in to play the lead. But Karan trashed those rumours and finally leaked his choices to the media.
After so many auditions, Karan Johar who is bankrolling this project under his Dharma Productions banner selected Chunky Pandey’s loving daughter Ananya Pandey as one of the female leads. Already Ananya is a super hit on social circuits for her hot looks and her pictures from various events are making youths go gaga over her. Selecting the second female lead has also not been a cake walk and the team took nearly 800 auditions and finally got smitten by the 22-year-old TV beauty Tara Sutaria who debuted with Disney’s show Big Bada Boom. So, these two are the hot new students in town.
Newcomer Punit Malhotra who worked as an assistant director in Karan Johar’s blockbuster Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham is helming this project.
