Although Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali’ started off as a regional film, it later went on to become a national and international film in all prospects. But, the makers of his upcoming film ‘Saaho’ began the film on a bigger note expecting much better offers from North and overseas buyers.
With a view to bring in bigger salability for the film in North belt, the makers have not just relied on the extensive popularity of Prabhas, but also on-boarded Bollywood actors like Shraddha Kapoor, Neil Nithin Mukesh and others. But it looks like the recruitment of these Bollywood actors is not serving the actual purpose.
The makers have doubled the budget of Saaho, keeping the Hindi market in view, and they spent a massive Rs 30 Crore for a single action episode in the film. But, unexpectedly, there is very meager response from the North buyers which is a worrying factor for producers. A speculation is rife that the tinkered relation between Karan Johar and Prabhas is stopping the Bollywood producers to look at Saaho.
So far, nothing is falling in place for the makers of Saaho when it comes to finding Hindi buyers for the film. But then, the makers are hopeful that things would go from bad to good when the first teaser will be out.
On other hand, it is heard that the growing budget is gradually building pressure on young filmmaker Sujith Sign, who is said to be consuming more than planned time to finish the shooting schedules.
