While this was the first look poster of much awaited film of NagRgv4, marking the reunion of classic duo Nag and RGV, there had high expectations on the look from fans, critics.
But the first look and title have dampened all their hopes, expectations. The poster featuring Nag in a civil dress and sporting a gun against towers of apartments has shades of RGV’s previous films Satya, Department, Sarkar without any freshness. Even a section of Akkineni fans are expressing shock over the film’s title.
Probably, unlike Satya and Sarkar, the protagonist would have been an angry cop. As it is clearly described in the tagline ‘Cops were never this scary’, it indicates that Nag would be seen as a dreaded cop.
Even the tone and colour palette used in poster resembled Ramu’s previous films which is now ‘scaring’ Nag’s fans who’re disappointed with the result of Hello recently.
However, the only silver lining is Nag’s confidence on the script of Officer which he has openly said on record that it is best work of RGV after Shiva. Let’s wait and see what is in store for RGV and Nag. Will it be RGV’s comeback film?
