Sonam Kapoor and her boyfriend Anand Ahuja are set to tie the knot next week and we may have found their beautiful wedding invite floating about on the internet.
The actor, who recently called wedding cards a waste of paper and bad for environment, seems to have sent out e-invites to her friends and family to join her on her big day.Sonam’s fan pages on Instagram are sharing images of stunning, artful cards adorned with painted flowers and plants.
The cards read the schedule for mehendi on May 7 and wedding on May 8 morning, followed by a party in the evening.
The functions will be held at Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra Bandstand and The Leela hotel, respectively.
The card also mentions the dress code for all functions: Indian festive shades of white for mehendi, Indian traditional for wedding and Indian or western formal for the party.The couple has also requested their guests to not bring them any gifts.
“Your presence on our special day is the only gift we desire,” it says.Sonam and Anand’s families confirmed the wedding date on Tuesday. A joint statement released by the two families read: “The Kapoor and Ahuja families take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand.
The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy.Thank you for all your blessings and love as we celebrate this special moment in our lives.”
