Akkineni Akhil is in dire need of a success after his first two films bombed miserably at the box office.He was considered as a star even before making debut, but Akhil didn’t live up to the expectations as yet.After Akhil and Hello failing to recover high costs, his third film is being made on a moderate budget.
Venky Atluri who seems to have known the pulse of contemporary audience is the director. Venky’s debut film Tholi Prema was a good hit.He is sticking to his strengths and offering another romantic film with Mr. Majnu. However, the teaser proved to be a damp squib with hardly anything in it to rise curiosity.
With so much at stake for Akhil, the film needs to generate good buzz prior to release to ensure strong openings.
The team should focus on hitting bull’s eye with the trailer cut.
