1) F2: Fun and Frustration is having a dream run at the box office. The film hasn’t shown a hint of slowing down in its first nine days.
It has collected nearly Rs. 50 crore share in nine days and still going very strong across the centers.
The film is showing the power of a neatly made family entertainer. F2 has totally dominated the weekend with other films failing to offer any resistance.
The film is already the biggest hit in Anil Ravipudi’s career and is set to become the biggest hit in Venkatesh and Varun Tej careers.
2) Vinaya Vidheya Rama: Thanks to the mass masala and Sankranthi release, Vinaya Vidheya Rama escaped humiliation at the box office.
The film has collected around Rs. 60 crore, but it is not something that its makers and buyers would be happy with. It incurred huge losses given the high asking price.
Producer Danayya had to compensate his buyers although he hadn’t made any profits on the film himself.
3) Petta: Rajinikanth’s Petta was sold for very less price compared to his recent films. However, releasing it amid high competition proved costly as Petta failed to succeed in spite of decent word of mouth.
4) Uri – The Surgical Strike: This Bollywood action film turned out to be a surprise hit of the season.
It has been performing beyond expectations and is headed to become a blockbuster across the National box office.
5) NTR – Kathanayakudu: Every analyst is busy finding the reasons for disastrous failure of the first part of NTR’s biopic.
The film was such a colossal flop that makers are worried about the upcoming release of the second part.
