The highest civilian Awards of the country, Padma Awards for the year 2019 have been announced officially. 112 Padma Awards will be awarded this year in which 4 are Padma Vibhushan, 14 Padma Bhushan & 94 Padma Shri.
Malayalam superstar Mohan Lal acheieved Padma Vibhushan Award. Great writer and pride of Telugu Sirivennela Seetharamasastry is conferred with Padma Shri Award. Also Prabhudeva, Shankar Mahadevan, Manoj Bajpayee and Sivamani’s names were among the members who are conferred with Padma Shri Award from Art and Cinema category. Late actor Kader Khan to be posthumously honoured with Padma Shri award this year.
Scientist Nambi Narayan has been conferred with Padma Bhushan Award for his contribution in science and Harika Dhronavalli (chess), Gautam Gambhir (Cricket) are among the awardees in sports category.
