The non-military action became a huge success and increased the image of Narendra Modi.
On the other hand, India succeeded in mounting pressure on Pakistan for the safe return of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman. Timely action after Pulwama Terror Attack fetched huge political mileage for BJP and its alliance partners ahead of the 2019 Elections.
