Actor Karthi is considered as one of the soft-spoken and well-behaved actors in the south Indian film industry. The actor never indulged in any controversy nor spoke any insensitive words on a public stage. But recently, he lost his cool on a public stage, during an audio launch.
If we get into the story, Karthi recently attended the audio launch of the film July Kattril. Veteran actress Kasturi hosted this event. When Karthi was on stage, she clicked a selfie with him and jokingly commented Karthi’s father Shiva Kumar is not around when she is clicking a selfie. Shiva Kumar was in news recently for beating up a fan who tried to click a selfie with him.
Hurt by the comments, Karthi said that it is a minimum courtesy to ask a celebrity for permission before clicking a selfie. Anyone would get angry when people mob us and click selfies without our consent. It would be great if people follow the minimum courtesy standards. In fact, whatever Karthi said is true and is a befitting reply to Kasturi’s statements.
