Tollywood producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni had produced Baahubali The Conclusion, the second part of the Baahubali franchise, under Arka Mediaworks banner in 2017. This Rajamouli magnum opus’ Tamil version created a new industry record in Tamil Nadu.
Baahubali The Conclusion’s Tamil version was distributed by noted Tamil film distributor Rajarajan of K Productions. Before the film’s release, Rajarajan reportedly gave a cheque for Rs 17.60 crores to Shobu and Prasad. However, the cheque was later dishonoured due to insufficient funds.
The producers had filed a case against Rajarajan on February 19 earlier this year. The court had even ordered Rajarajan to furnish the security for the said amount. However, Rajarajan has reportedly failed to honour the court’s order and Arka’s legal team has sent yet another notice to him. The news has come across as a shocker especially since Rajarajan had made heavy profits by distributing Baahubali in Tamil Nadu.
