Matching the positive talk, the box office collections of ‘Majili’ are stunning. The film had a solid first weekend with a total share of Rs 17.35 crore worldwide.
On the day three, the film has collected a share of Rs 3.64 crore from the Telugu states while in the United States, the total first week collections stood at $650K. These figures are the career best for Naga Chaitanya.
‘Premam’ was the biggest hit of the Akkineni hero in the US and ‘Majili’ has now surpassed this and inching towards a million mark.
The theatrical rights of ‘Majili’ are sold for Rs 20 crore and the film is likely to recover its full investment in couple of days. So the distributors and exhibitors would be in safe zone.
So Tollywood has almost bagged the first hit of the summer with ‘Majili.’
