Telugu film comedian Ali is generally a very soft spoken person and he gives due respect to all his colleagues in the Telugu film industry.
But when it comes to politics, he has proved that he is no soft a person and if necessary, he can take on anybody, irrespective of his stature and political power.
It was evident from the way Ali gave a strong retort to power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, who everybody considers is a god father to the comedian in the film industry.
Reacting strongly to Pawan Kalyan’s comments that he had helped Ali a lot when he was in trouble and that he had betrayed his friendship by joining YSR Congress party, the comedian wondered how Jana Sena Party chief had helped him.
“Did you give help me monetarily? Or did you get recommend my name to any producers when I was going through a low phase in films?” Ali asked.
Ali reminded that he was far senior to Pawan Kalyan in film industry.
“By the time Pawan entered industry, I was already an established actor. He might have come into industry using his brother Chiranjeevi’s name, but I gained a footing out of my own efforts,” he asserted.
He said by the grace of god, he had gained enough name and money in the films.
“If at all I face any financial crisis in my life, I will never go to anybody, including Pawan, for help. If such a situation arises, I will rather die with hunger,” he said.
The ace comedian sought to know whether joining YSRC was a mistake.
“It is my choice. I never aspired for any ticket from Jana Sena nor did I recommend any name for Jana Sena ticket,” Ali said.
