The 66th National Film Awards are around the corner and with Telugu films stunning whole of India last year, many are looking forward to seeing which film gets the appreciation. The likes of Rangasthalam, Mahanati, Geetha Govindam, C/o Kancharapalem and Bharat Anu Nenu are competing to bag an appreciation.
However, the final tie is between the films Rangasthalam and Mahanati only, if reports are to be believed. But this is the time, influential Telugu lobbyists should get into the scene to make sure that both these films would get awards. Because there is no way we cannot choose between these two creations, which are really fantastic.
While Rangasthalam is appreciated for its brilliant portrayal of realistic village scenes, Mahanati is a piece of history that made everyone cry almost. It will be respectful to see that both films will get awards rather than one of them being crowned.
Meanwhile, the announcement of National Awards is getting delayed because the committee feels that there is poll-code in place. Due to that, they might announce the winners after the Lok Sabha elections get concluded.
