Lakshmi Parvathy’s entry into Telugu Desam party is a huge controversy and in fact it changed the party’s dimensions like never before back in the early 1990s. Just before the assembly and Lok Sabha elections, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao has joined YSRCP but by then Lakshmi Parvathy was already part of the ‘FAN’ party.
When asked about his equations with Lakshmi Parvathy, Daggubati said, “For this moment, what is most needed for YSRC party, I will do it and I will leave the personal stuff I have with Lakshmi Parvathy aside.†But Daggubati disclosed an unknown episode involving Chandrababu Naidu and Lakshmi Parvathy.
Before the 1994 elections, Lakshmi Parvathy was dominant force in TDP and Chandrababu had no option to bow down to her. “One day, Chandrababu came to NTR’s residence and promised Lakshmi Parvathy that he would work hand-in-hand with her for TDP in AP. Then in Nalgonda public meeting, he gave a glass of water by himself when Lakshmi Parvathy was addressing the people. This photo of Naidu serving water to her, came on the front page of Andhra Jyothy paper then,” said Daggubati.
So Daggubati’s rapport with Lakshmi Parvathy are the same like he has with Chandrababu Naidu and he seem to be not much interested in family politics and is focused more on his sons’ political careers.
