Not every actress gets the attention of Telugu moviegoers. Very few actresses manage to impress Telugu audience who are very selective about picking their favorite heroine. After Soundarya, Simran, Anushka and Ileana it is Samantha that attained ‘star value’ in the last two decades. Samantha rose to fame within no time and she went on to be the undisputed queen of Telugu cinema this year.
Samantha scored top two biggest hits of the year with Attarintiki Daredi and SVSC. Now she has three out of top five films in Telugu cinema history to her credit. She has also seen the other side of the coin this year with Jabardast and Ramayya Vastavayya biting dust at the box office. Despite the flops Samantha still leads the pack due to those gigantic hits in her kitty.
Samantha is currently doing Rabhasa with NTR and has two big films in Tamil. She is being selective about the choices she makes and not really cashing in on the current star status. She has grown as an actress with each film. Her comic timing has improved a lot. Her sincerity and dedication towards work made her the darling of directors. Great going Sam!
