Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is understood to have asked his party MPs to go soft towards the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
KCR, who addressed the TRS Parliamentary Party at Pragathi Bhavan, discussed the strategy to be adapted in the ensuing Parliament sessions.
He reportedly told the party MPs not to get into confrontation with the Centre but to take up the state’s issues with all the central ministers in a friendly atmosphere.
He advised them to take the support of YSR Congress party MPs in meeting the top leaders in Delhi so that the state could get what was due to it from the Centre.
KCR appointed senior leader and MP Dr K Keshav Rao as the TRS Parliamentary Party leader and party floor leader in Rajya Sabha. Similalry, Khammam MP Sri Nama Nageswara Rao would be the party’s floor leader in Lok Sabha.
He also announced that B B Patil will be TRS party whip in Lok Sabha and Kotha Prabhakar Reddy the Deputy floor leader in the Lok Sabha.
Similarly, Banda Prakash Mudiraj will be the Deputy floor leader in the Rajya Sabha and J Santosh Kumar the TRS party whip in the Rajya Sabha.
The details of election of parliamentary party leaders are forwarded to the parliamentary affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi through a letter by the chief minister.
