AP CM YS Jagan has announced that the ‘Amma Odi’ scheme has been extended to students of intermediate too. On Thursday, Jagan held a review meeting with education department officials and while discussing many factors, CM Jagan has decided to extend the ‘Amma Odi’ scheme.
Under this scheme, a cash incentive of Rs 15,000 will be credited to the mothers who admit their children in schools be it government or private. Initially, the state government decided of limiting ‘Amma Odi’ to students who get admitted in government schools. There was an uproar and confusion on it. Couple of days back, the CMO clarified that the scheme will be applicable even if students get admitted private schools.
Families who hold white ration card are applicable for this scheme and CM Jagan has ordered the officials to prepare guidelines for this scheme. Jagan has asked officials to include students who are studying in government, private junior colleges and residing in the hostels and residential hostels.
So a good news for intermediate students and their mothers as well.
