The ground was clear when Oh Baby was first announced for July 5. It looked bright for Samantha to score a solo hit with Oh Baby, but things took a dramatic turn in a flash.
Oh Baby has so much competition to deal with now. There is Burrakatha featuring Aadi Sai Kumar that is also releasing on the same day. It will face stiff competition from the new Spiderman film.
Spiderman: Far From Home is a serious threat to Oh Baby in the overseas markets and at the multiplexes. Oh Baby needs to open to positive word of mouth to withstand the competition.
Thankfully, the promos of Oh Baby have generated enough interest among the film buffs that it is likely to open on a decent note. But the word of mouth and reviews will play a huge role in making it a success.
Films like Brochevarevarura, Kabir Singh and Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya are still going strong at the box office, which means Oh Baby needs nothing short of ‘good’ reports to stay ahead.
