Shrawanand’s upcoming release Ranarangam is trying to impress audiences with their technical brilliance as the sound-cut teaser made an impact. However, for this film which deals with the story of a don in two periods simultaneously, the makers are taking utmost care to not disappoint viewers.
Usually, we expect films of this nature to be more than two and a half hours. But the makers have trimmed second half so huge that it lasts only for 58 minutes which is a rarity. Including the first half that is 1 hour 16 mins in length, the film is now just 2 hours 14 minutes, a short film, when compared to other ‘don’ movies.
Insider buzz is as the second half’s progression of the story should be at a quicker pace, they have trimmed large portions. They are said to have chopped nearly 25 minutes of the movie, to make it appealing. And if this near 1-hour runtime could make audiences hold their breath, Ranarangam will be a winner.
Directed by Sudhir Varma, Ranarangam is hitting cinemas on August 15th. Kalyani Priyadarshan is the leading lady of the movie, while Kajal is doing a guest appearance.
