YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been making efforts to maintain cordial relations with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA government at the Centre to secure maximum benefits to the state.
But the BJP leaders in the state are going overboard to attack Jagan and his government.
In fact, their attack against Jagan was much more than his arch rival Telugu Desam Party led by N Chandrababu Naidu is supposed to do.
Commenting on the 100-day rule of Jagan Reddy, BJP legislator P V N Madhav said it was a period of chaos as Jagan was very much confused in taking right decisions on various important issues in the State.
The BJP leader said the Centre was extending full cooperation for the completion of the multipurpose Polavaram Project and the State government should take the responsibility of completing the project as early as possible.
Reacting on the reverse tendering system, Madhav criticised the State government for taking a unilateral decision of cancellation of Polavaram tenders.
Various development works were halted midway due to the attitude of the YSRCP government. The State government should have discussed various issues with the Centre. Thousands of construction workers also lost their livelihood also, he lamented.
The State government could have ordered CBI inquiry into the irregularities in the construction works of Polavaram, Amaravati capital and other works. The Centre would have extended support in this regard, he said.
