The shocking incident in an Ameerpet Metro station left nearby people shaken today. A 26-year-old woman died after a concrete slab came off and fell on the lady at Ameerpet Metro station. The unfortunate incident happened on Sunday afternoon, at 3 pm.
Due to heavy rains which occurred in the afternoon, the deceased woman along with others were taking shelter beneath slabs to avoid being drenched. It is sad to learn that the loose slab came and hit the woman. She has been identified as Monika and she is a resident of KPHB phase 3.
Apparently, both Monika and her husband work for TCS company. The police told that a sharp edge of the concrete piece fell on her and Monika was succumbed to the intense and traumatic head injuries. Though she was rushed to the nearby hospital, she was declared dead. At present, SR Nagar police are investigating the accident.
