As per trade and industry standards, Day 1 Box Office decides the stardom of a hero/actor. And this is why heroes/stars are very conscious about the first day collections of their films as it depends on talk and other factors from the second day on wards. Well, stars may openly say that BO collections are not a yardstick to them, but in reality, this is what decides an actor’s stardom.
Going by the recent films of young heroes – Vijay Deverakonda, Ram, Nani, Varun Tej, Sharwanand and Sai Dharam Tej, all the heroes got their career-best openings. However, it is Vijay who has shown his clear dominance at the Box Office. Vijay’s Dear Comrade has got the best Day 1 figures among all. Ram is close to Vijay with iSmart Shankar, but the world-wide day 1 share is higher for Dear Comrade than iSmart Shankar. Varun Tej’s Valmiki alias Gaddalakonda Ganesh stood at 3rd place.
Interestingly, Nani is the only hero who got lesser first day figures for Gang Leader compared to his previous film Jersey which got higher Day 1 figures. Sharwa also got decent first day opening with Ranarangam. However, it is not enough for Sharwa’s stature. Owing to his poor choices, Sharwa has put himself in a tight spot. Meanwhile, Sai Dharam Tej has improved and got good first day opening with Chitralahari. Of all, Vijay stood first by beating all. Though Dear Comrade hasn’t met the expectations, still, the first day openings prove Vijay is polls apart from the rest. All Vijay needs is a one perfect film and he will be back with a bang.
