The third season of “Bigg Boss” has come to an end. The grand finale will be aired on Sunday evening (November 3).
The season had witnessed its highs and lows in its 100 plus days run. The third season broke some records as per as TRPs are concerned.
At the same time, the show also received a lot of flak for its dull content and non-glamourous contestants. The host Nagarjuna Akkineni also received a mixed response from the viewers.
In the initial weeks, he had shown a lot of enthusiasm and energy bringing claps from the viewers and very positive feedback on social media.
As the weeks progressed, Nagarjuna’s limited tricks were exposed. Plus, Nagarjuna was trolled this season for many reasons.
True to his on-screen image, Nagarjuna showed a soft corner towards female contestants while gave tough tasks to male contestants.
He was also trolled for hugging Shiva Jyothi, Vithika, Punarnavi and Sreemukhi whenever he greeted them while the male contestants were greeted with a shaking hand. This gave the impression that he was more compassionate towards female contestants.
He also skipped the show to head for a holiday in Spain on his 60th birthday.
When Ramya Krishna came aboard replacing him in his absence, she nailed it with far more energy. Her extempore was lauded. Thus Nagarjuna received many negative remarks.
However, when he was in his elements, he brought the verve needed for the show and also fetched good ratings to the show.
In a nutshell, Nagarjuna as host for the third season of “Bigg Boss” received mixed reactions from the viewers.
NTR remained the best among the three hosts. NTR was the first host, while Nani did the honors for the second season.
