Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan might be still drawing big crowds for his meetings, but it is mainly because people look at him only as an actor and not a politician.
Pawan has failed to prove himself as a successful politician, as was evident from the way his party’s humiliating defeat in the recent elections and he, himself, had lost from two assembly constituencies with big margin.
Yet, the Jana Sena chief considers himself a seasoned politician. He has claimed to have read thousands of books but it appears he has to do a lot of study and homework on politics before making public speeches, lest his half-knowledge gets exposed.
Take for example, Pawan’s latest comment against YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He suggested that Jagan could shift the capital city to Pulivendula in Kadapa district, so that if the high court is set up in Kurnool, it would be easier for the chief minister to attend regular trials in the CBI case against him.
“It would bring down the expenditure on Jagan for attending the court,” he said.
It clearly shows Pawan does not have any understanding about the case against Jagan and where the trial is going on at present.
Even if the Andhra Pradesh high court is shifted to Kurnool, Jagan will have to travel all the way to Hyderabad to attend the court.
This is because the trial is going on in the special court for CBI cases at Nampally court complex in Hyderabad and not in Andhra. And it will take a long time for the court to give judgement.
Assuming that Jagan loses the case and subsequently moves the high court for justice, he doesn’t need to attend the high court proceedings every week as happens in the trial court.
So, before making any criticism, it is better Pawan does some in-depth study on the proceedings of various courts and how the trial is conducted.
