#MahaDeal: Sena gets CM, NCP and Cong to get Dy CMs

The first step for government formation in Maharashtra is cleared with Shiva Sena, Nationalistic Congress party (NCP) and Congress coming to an understanding. In the talks between these three parties, Shiva Sena will get the full term Chief minister post while one each from NCP and Congress will become the deputy CM.

A 40-point common minimum programme (CMP) is prepared by the leaders of the three parties and the final draft of the discussion will go to the chiefs of respective parties. Once the CMP gets an approval, there are high chances of a government coming into existence in Maharashtra.

Also Shiva Sena, NCP and Congress have figured out the number of cabinet berths and it will be 14 each for Sena and NCP while Congress will get 12.

As per the sources, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi will hold talks with Maha Congress leaders on November 17th and by November 19th, the final step is likely to be laid for government formation.

So in all likely, Maharashtra will have a new government next week but it’s minus the BJP. On November 12th, President’s rule is imposed in Maharashtra after no party came forward to form government.
