It looks like Jana Sena Party chief and actor Pawan Kalyan is desperate to see that his party’s lone member in the assembly Rapaka Varaprasad will remain in the party so that it will be have at least nominal representation in the House.
A day after the completion of his Rythu Sowbhagya Deeksha at Kakinada which Rapaka has conveniently skipped on the pretext of attending the assembly, Pawan Kalyan posted a statemen in twitter condemning the reports that appeared in a section of media that he had issued a show-cause notice to Rapaka for not attending the deeksha.
Describing it as a deliberate and malicious propaganda by YSRC, Pawan tweeted: “YCP supporters should stop spreading lies and hate messages and they should apologise to Sri Rapaka Vara Prasad garu.”
He also reminded that when Rapaka was arrested and YSRC leaders tried to deny him bail in the past, he (Pawan) had entered the scene directly and made them beat a retreat.
Interestingly, Rapaka himself reportedly said Pawan had no locus standi in issuing a show-cause notice to him.
“He lost the elections and I won. If at all anybody has a right over the party, it should be me. I won the elections on my own and not because of Jana Sena or anybody else,” he is learnt to have commented.
For the last few days, Rapaka has been showering praises on YSR Congress party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He appreciated Jagan for his welfare schemes and also introducing English as a medium of instruction, much to the embarrassment of Pawan who has been opposing the decision.
Apparently realising that Rapaka has taken the rumours over his show-cause notice seriously, Pawan hurriedly made the statement in the social media.
Yet, one is not sure how long Rapaka will remain the party, as he openly admitted that there was some gap between him and Pawan.
