Former Union minister and film actor, Chiranjeevi, supported the three capitals proposal of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, on Saturday.
Chiranjeevi issued a statement welcoming the report of the expert committee on capital headed by retired IAS office G N Rao.
Chiranjeevi said that the state required decentralised development after the bitter experience in Hyderabad.
Centralised development was neither recommended by expert nor favoured by the people after the state bifurcation, he said.
While Chiranjeevi welcomed the decentralisation and the distribution of the capital to the three regions of the State, his brother and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is strongly opposing it.
The Jana Sena chief is backing the statements of the TDP and the demands of the farmers of the capital villages not to shift the capital from Amaravati.
Pawan Kalyan had sent his trusted lieutenant Nadendla Manohar to visit the agitating farmers of the capital villages and extended support to them.
Interestingly, neither the people of Vijayawada nor those from Guntur are holding any sort of agitation or protest against shifting the capital for Amaravati.
It appears is if the people from these two cities have not owned up this Amaravati formula of Chandrababu Naidu and that is the reason for their silence to the new plans of Jaganmohan Reddy government.
