YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is celebrating his 47th birthday on Saturday.
Since it is his first birthday in the capacity of chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress party leaders and cadres are euphoric all over the state.
There have been celebrations in every district and party leaders put up flex boards and banners everywhere.
Jagan cut his birthday cake at his camp office in the morning before leaving for Dharmavaram to take part in the YSR Nethanna Hastham programme.
Several party leaders and prominent personalities have taken to their microblogging sites to extend their birthday wishes to Jagan.
Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP national president Amit Shah, besides several MPs and Union ministers sent their greetings to the chief minister.
Interestingly, there was no such message from Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu greeting Jagan.
Understandably, Naidu was upset with Jagan’s decision to dump Amaravati and shift the administrative capital to Visakhapatnam, shattering his dreams completely.
However, Naidu’s son and TDP MLC Nara Lokesh chose to greet Jagan on the occasion of latter’s birthday. Lokesh extended his birthday wishes through his twitter.
“My heartfelt birthday wishes to Andhra Pradesh chief minister @ysjagan garu. I wish you celebrate many more such happy birthdays like this in future. Wish you all happiness and prosperity, health and long life,” Lokesh tweeted.
Well, if not father, at least his son has displayed some courtesy!
