GVL Clears Air, A Lesson For Kanna, Sujana

There is confusion about the BJP role in the Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s move to have three capitals for the State. But, that confusion is cleared by party national spokesman and Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao.It was a clear message to the rank and file of the AP BJP on the controversy surrounding the capital issues of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana had welcomed the three capitals proposal when chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy made a statement in Assembly. He said the BJP welcomes the decentralisation and the decision would benefit the three regions of the state, namely Uttarandhra, Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema.

Unfortunately, he changed his stand in no time and stood by the TDP-sponsored movement of the Amaravati farmers. He went on one-day silent protest at the place where Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stone for Amaravati in 2016.There is another leader in BJP, new to the party, Y S Chowdary, who is also actively opposing the State government’s proposal on three capitals.

He is actively touring the capital villages, meeting the farmers and opposing the government’s proposal. The BJP ranks thus are divided whether to support the government’s plans or oppose. They are also undecided whether to remain silent as they have no stakes, while some try to take advantage of the situation to improve its base.

At this point of time, GVL came on to the screen and cleared the air. The BJP national leadership has no role in deciding where the State capital should be, and thus left the decision to the Jaganmohan Reddy government. While making this statement, he repeated and stressed it twice, perhaps to make it clear to those who are poking their nose into the Jagan Mohan Reddy government’s decision.

So, Kanna and Sujana, remember GVL is not just a leader like you, he is the national spokesperson of the party. The message is clear and loud. It is for you to understand and toe the party line.
