The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Andhra Pradesh police, constituted to investigate into the murder of former minister and YSR Congress party leader Y S Vivekananda Reddy is learnt to have been grilling Telugu Desam Party legislator B Tech Ravi for the last two days.
The SIT authorities are reportedly questioning Ravi at a private hotel in Kadapa, where he had reportedly met the prime accused Parameswar Reddy before the killing of Viveka.
The police had also summoned Parameswar Reddy to the hotel for questioning. Reddy was undergoing treatment in hospital at the time of Viveka’s assassination and the police had also questioned the hospital authorities on the genuineness of his claim.
The SIT is also grilling MLC C Narayana Reddy, elder brother of former minister and presently BJP leader C Adinarayana Reddy.
BTech Ravi who appeared before the SIT officials has moved the Andhra Pradesh High Court in December demanding the YS Vivekananda Reddy’s murder case to be transferred to CBI for the transparent probe.
Vivekananda Reddy, who happened to be the uncle of chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and brother of YS Rajshekar Reddy was murdered on March 15, 2019.
