The tug of war between the Sankranti releases has gone beyond the limits by far. The scene has come to square one, where the makers of Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikuntapurramulo promote their respective films with timely posters and all other updates except the release dates!
The primitive posters mentioned only ‘Sankranti 2020’ and later Sarileru Neekevvaru decided to come out on Jan 11 and Ala Vaikuntapuram lo on Jan 12. But it all went back to ‘posters without dates’ when the sensational talk spread that Ala Vaikuntapuramulo makers changed their outing to Jan 10. It is heard that theaters clash on Sunday is behind all this conflict and no film is ready to step back, leaving the dilemma intact.
Both the films completed their censor formalities with U/A certification and released posters mentioning the same but without the dates again, though the release should be within 10 days from today.
It has to be seen if they both get into a ‘gentlemen’s agreement’ soon to avoid the unwanted collision at the box office, or they decide to keep the open fray on with the same release date!
