Indian cricket legend Kapil Dev has turned a year old on Monday and wishes are pouring down for him from the sports fraternity and also from fans. The makers of ’83’ film have shared few pictures of real Kapil Dev showing some batting tips to reel Kapil Dev aka Ranveer Singh.
Being directed by Kabir Khan, ’83’ is all about Indian cricket team’s glorious run towards being the winners of the third edition of cricket World Cup. And it was Kapil Dev who captained the team and played a crucial role both with bat and ball in this tournament.
For the role, Ranveer got specially trained in cricket in London and Dharmashala. He also spent some time with Kapil Dev to learn his body language.
Ranveer’s best half Deepika Padukone is playing the role of Romi Bhatia who is Kapil’s wife. ’83’ will be dubbed into all multiple languages and the makers are aiming for Apilr, 2020 release.
