Just a day before the ‘Three Capitals’ bill getting placed in the Legislative Council, TDP MLC Dokka Manikya Varaprasad has resigned to the party and position. He then cited personal reasons for quiiting and stayed away.
A week after the resignation, Dokka revealed the actual reason that led him to do so. “I did not like the thought process and attitude of TDP and my views are different with that of party’s. So I have resigned to the MLC,” said Dokka.
On the controversy surrounding ‘Three Capitals’ bill going to select committee, Dokka said, “Such incidents are unfortunate to occur in a constitutional body like council. I was deeply hurt and can no longer continue as MLC.”
However Dokka did not reveal his future political plans. Is he looking at YSRCP or completely quit politics? Let’s see where he will end up!
