Thalapathy Vijay is no new name for film lovers. He enjoys a great fan base like Rajini and Ajith. Vijay is one star who can pull the mass audiences to the theatres irrespective of the film’s result. His movies collect 100 Crores easily even with average subject. Such is his stamina at the Box Office. Now the Superstar is busy widening his market in Telugu for which he is planning a consecutive release of his films. At present the star is working in the film ‘Master’, an action thriller directed by ‘Kaithi’ fame Lokesh Kanagaraj. The shoot of the film is already completed and the movie is gearing for release on April 9. ‘Master’ stars Vijay Sethupathi and Malavika Mohanan alongside Vijay.
The recent series of IT raids created tremors in the industry circles and trade communities. The IT raids took place at his office and at his ‘Bigil’ film producers and financiers. It is common for IT officials to fill their pockets and go away from the scene which didn’t happen in Vijay’s case, the reason said was the actor’s huge remuneration. Vijay is said to get a huge pay of Rs 80 Crores as remuneration for his upcoming film ‘Master’ that shocked the IT officials and tempted them for raids!
On the other side, Vijay’s fans are furious on the IT raids and few even questioned, will the IT officials dare to do the same with Superstar Rajinikanth? Vijay’s previous film ‘Bigil/Whistle’ didn’t fare well at the Box Office but has put the producers in a safe zone. Now, his upcoming film ‘Master’ is given at a nominal price to the same distributor in Telugu to compensate for the ‘Whistle’ losses!
