Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao generally comes before the media with a lot of authenticity over any information and conveys his message very strongly and convincingly.
The media persons get a lot of information at his press conference, but they do not dare to ask him any controversial questions.
Reason: KCR has utter disregard for the media and considers thebm as virtual “brainless” characters.
The chief minister expects reporters to write whatever he tells religiously and even if he takes questions from them, he expects them to be mild, submissive, if not praising him.
He doesn’t tolerate any reporter who poses any embarrassing question or the one which he doesn’t want to answer.
On Saturday, KCR humiliated and shouted down a reporter of a channel who asked him how the government was dealing with 20,000 people who came from foreign countries into Telangana in the last 20 days.
“What do you want me to do? Is it a question? What kind of questions are you asking? Does it have any sense? Which newspaper are you working for? Is it the kind of training your management is giving to you? Don’t ask such questions,” KCR said in a sharp tone, leaving the journalist shocked.
In fact, this is not the first time that KCR behaved so rudely with the journalists. Almost at every press conference, he has made it a habit to run down reporters who posed tough questions.
He even wondered at times whether the reporters have any brains in asking questions at the press conference.
Unfortunately, the other reporters at the press conference do not dare even to register a protest. Because, each of them has his or her own interest in the TRS!
