Mary Kom, India’s most successful Women Boxer decided to act immaturely when the entire world is clubbed under the fear of a pandemic.
The boxer attended 18th March Rastrapathi Bhavan Dinner party even though she was supposed to be in self quarantine for 14 days.
Many are asking her how could she be irresponsible and the boxer is defending her decision by saying that she just attended only that one party.
Also, she said that she did not shake the hands of Dushyanth Singh who contracted the disease and is defending her presence by saying that she was ought to be there out of courtesy.
She participated in Asian Qualifying tournament in Jordan till 11th March and Boxing Association asked every team member who participated in the tournament to follow self quarantine process for 14 days, at the least.
She overruled the Association’s directive and participated in 18th March Dinner, which she could have skipped easily. Well, Padma Bhushan winners too make mistakes and we have to accept that.
