Political Diatribe Amidst Covid Crisis!

At a time when the entire country is struggling to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic and prevent the rise in the number of cases and deaths, political mudslinging continues in Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from politicising every step being taken by the YSR Congress government to check the Coronavirus spread, Telugu Desam Party leaders have also been making intense attack on chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy for the last two days over the removal of former state election commissioner N Ramesh Kumar.

Other opposition party leaders like BJP state president Kanna Lakshminarayana, Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan and CPI leader K Ramakrishna have all been making pungent comments against the YSRC government.

Of course, the YSRC leaders, too, are not lagging behind in attacking the TDP and other leaders of the opposition. Ministers like Kodali Nani have also been hurling abuses at TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and other opposition leaders.

On Saturday, it was the turn of YSRC general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy and Jana Sena Party leader K Nagababu to attack each other through twitter.

Sai Reddy took pot shots at Pawan Kalyan for saying that he did not want make any political comments and was maintaining self-restraint during the Coronavirus pandemic.

“You don’t have any ground to do politics Mr Pavan! You are sitting somewhere in Hyderabad and issuing big statements. How can you forget the people’s verdict, so easily?” Sai Reddy commented.

While Pawan remained silent, his brother Nagababu reacted strongly.

“You are right Vijaya Sai Reddy. We know there are wicked jackals to do dirty politics in AP. You might have forgotten, but I still remember your wily politics in approaching Pawan through a common friend and seeking his support before the last elections,” Nagababu said.
