Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming sports drama tentatively titled Fighter with Puri Jagannadh was extensively shot in Mumbai until the coronavirus pandemic halted its progress.
Puri planned to shoot an episode in the Dharavi slums of Mumbai, but he has decided to shift the shoot to Hyderabad as Maharashtra has become the Coronavirus hotspot of the nation.
Puri has wrapped up more than forty percent of the filming so far and will shoot the remaining footage in and around Hyderabad once the lockdown is lifted and Telugu Cinema is back in action. Fighter is a typical Puri Jagannadh’s film with Vijay playing an aggressive character.
Karan Johar is co-producing this film that is targeting Pan-India release. Bollywood young actress Ananya Pandey is playing the female lead and Ramya Krishna will be seen in an important role as Vijay’s mother. Puri is also considering Liger as the title for it.
