To say in brief, the money they earn in a year on various brand endorsements will be many times more than that of what they earn through movies.
To explain with an example, a big hero or a heroine may charge anywhere between Rs 1.5 Cr to Rs 6 Cr per annum to participate in two or three ad shoots. The time they spend for each endorsement will be not more than a week in a year.
Now all such earnings may be stopped due to corona pandemic. The big companies have lost a lot of cash in flow due to lockdown and not regaining the old tempo even after the lockdowns are relaxed.
The most important thing in the order of priority for all the companies is to cut down their costs and take care of employee salaries and electricity bills.
At this juncture a popular mobile brand owner has said that there will be a huge cut on brand endorsements.
