Succeeding the coronavirus pandemic, which prompted a huge lockdown, the shooting schedules and release dates of numerous movies have been effected adversely. Sanjay Gupta’s crime drama ‘Mumbai Saga’, featuring star studded ensemble cast like John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi, with Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy and Prateik Babbar, was approaching fruition and prepping up to release, while work abruptly stopped. The crew was shooting an action stunt at an area in Mumbai but they eventually had put it to halt when hit by the Covid-19 barrier.
Presently, inside source has discovered that the Bhushan Kumar-Anuradha Gupta produced movie will be among the primary films to return to activity one month from now. In the wake of advancing the shoot permits from the Telangana government with certain rules, Gupta will take off to Hyderabad with his actors soon to wrap up the pending shoot. Touted to be a crime saga set in 80’s backdrop, the shoot scenes that features John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi will recommence with a 12 day schedule from July in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad
90% of ‘Mumbai Saga’s’ shooting was done before the pandemic crisis. During the lockdown, director Sanjay Gupta and his team had been coordinating with technicians to continue the film’s post-production in full swing. Rumours are spreading that the film maker has also started penning ‘Shootout 3’ plot in the mean time.
Mumbai Saga producer Bhushan Kumar shared his gratitude towards government for permitting shoot grants. He said that he was glad that the film works could be resumed and soon be released.
