Akkineni Amala, who is a prominent actress and Blue Cross Hyderabad co-founder, has shown genuine generosity towards the farmers. Under the assistance of Sarpanchi Vishnuvardhan Reddy in Keshampetta Mandapam Papi Reddyguda district of Rangareddy district, 650 farmers were given free red gram seeds.
About 4 kg of seeds were distributed to each farmer to assist them in the troubled times. Speaking on the occasion, Amala advised farmers to cultivate crops under the organic farming system to avoid chemical and fertilisers in the harvest.
She shared on Instagram “@iamnagarjuna organised the distribution of kandi (red gram) seeds for 650 farmers today, covering one acre of land per family. With the onset of monsoon and the planting season underway, it was a gesture to support farmers to recover form the #COVID2019 setback.”
Amala further said that if farmers express interest in this initiative, she would call on the
the expert scientists to educate the farmers and shed more light on this aspect. On the other hand, the current coronavirus virus pandemic is critical for people to be healthy and many celebs are cooped up at home.
But since certain regulations have been lifted, Amala has decided to come forward and been in concordance to the current guidelines. Her great gesture towards farmers is praiseworthy in this tough phase.
