PM Modi clarifies about lock down to CM KCR

Rumors of a lockdown imposition in the country were rife since few days. But on Wednesday, it was made clear in a video conference of CM’s with Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday. Telangana Chief Minister KCR asked Modi that since the covid-19 cases are on the rise again, speculations were doing the rounds that another lockdown would be imposed.

PM Modi cleared the air by saying that the country had already been on lock down, so no more lockdowns will be enforced. He further said that currently unlock phase 1 is running and measures for unlock-2 should be decided.

KCR gave an overview about the recent security measures taken by the Telangana government on mitigating the incidence of novel corona virus pandemic. He said the coronavirus outbreak is currently under control in the state. He further said although few rise in the cases were there, recent 50000 tests initiation, parameter cotrol and clinical management of active cases etc are being monitored. CM iterated that the death toll in Telangana from the virus has reduced and it is is now low compared to other states.

In the video conference CM KCR also addressed on the issue of migrants’ work that has been effected, which in turn has caused dearth of labours in Telangana. In the video conference he quipped that the state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is blocking them. “We take good care of the workers coming from you in Telangana. Our chief secretary Somesh Kumar is also from your Bihar. Please send the labours back to Telangana, because majority of them are from Bihar”, he said to Bihar CM.
