Naidu Sees Racket Even In Corona Testing!

With his party leaders being booked one after the other in various cases, TDP president and former Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu seems to have gone desperate in making wild allegations against the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

At a time when the Jagan government is receiving wide appreciation for conducting more than a million tests for Covid-19, Naidu sees a scandal even in this, as if it involved embezzlement of funds.

On Monday, the TDP chief alleged that the state government’s claim of conducting more than one million Covid-19 tests smacked of huge scam and demanded that the Centre order a detailed probe into the claim.

Naidu alleged that the state health department had issued Covid-19 negative certificates to many people without conducting tests.

He released a video clipping, in which s government employee in Anantapur district was seen coming that she had sent seven staffers from her own office for tests on a request by the health officials.

“They collected the phone and Aadhaar numbers of my colleagues and asked me to send them for tests the next morning. When my colleagues went there, nobody conducted any tests on them. They returned home around lunch time. To their surprise, they received messages on their phones that their results were negative,” the woman official explained.

Those received the messages showed them to the media, expressing their surprise.

He also produced some other videos to allege that the Covid-19 tests were being manipulated.

Naidu requested that the Centre take cognizance of the criminal motive behind ‘SMS Testing Racket’ by the YCRC government.

“I am shocked to see Jagan government stooping to such a level to cover their failures. The ‘One Million Covid tests’ narrative woven by the AP government is a scam,” he said.
