Administrative Crisis In Telangana?

The absence of Telangana CM KCR from the seat of administration in Hyderabad, at a time when the Coronavirus situation has been gaining alarming proportions in the state, has become the talk of the town.

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday declared that there was an administrative crisis in the state with the head of the state himself was missing in action.

“There have been reports that KCR might have contracted Coronavirus and hence, had been confined to his farmhouse for the last 10 days. The government should release a health bulletin on his health status, as it is a crime to keep his health condition a secret,” the PCC working president said.

Stating that there was no active chief minister for Telangana at present, Revanth said the ministers had become duds and had no idea what they should speak.

“If KCR is not in a position to administer the state, he should entrust his responsibilities to any other leader at least for the time being. We don’t mind if it is K T Rama Rao or Harish Rao or Eatala Rajender,” he said.

If KCR was healthy and fit, it was not proper for him to sit in his farmhouse.

“The chief minister said he would take a decision at the cabinet meeting on reimposing lockdown. But no decision was taken even after 10 days and the people were completely in a state of confusion,” he said.

Revanth demanded that Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan should intervene in the administration and review its functioning.

“As per the AP Reorganisation Act, the Governor has full powers over the Greater Hyderabad. The Centre should take action against the officials who did not attend the meeting called by the Governor,” he demanded.
