YSRC finds a place in BAC of Rajya Sabha!

The YSRCP, which is emerging as a major political force in the country following its stupendous victory in the 2019 general elections in Andhra Pradesh, has received yet another recognition at the national level.

Following the election of four members as the Rajya Sabha member, the YSR Congress party has emerged as the fourth largest party in the Upper House. As a result, the party has found a place in the Business Advisory Committee of the Rajya Sabha.

Vice president of India and Rajya Sabha chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday nominated YSRC parliamentary party leader and general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy as the member of the Business Advisory Committee of Rajya Sabha, which plays a crucial role in finalising the agenda of the Upper House business.

Apart from Sai Reddy, the others who are nominated to the BAC are: Manoj Kumar Jha, Mallikharjun Kharge and Shiv Pratap Shukla.

Venkaiah also nominated BJP member G V L Narasimha Rao and TRS member K R Suresh Reddy as the members of the subordinate legislature committee.

It is definitely a major achievement for the YSRC indicating its growing importance at the national level. There were two MPs for the party in Rajya Sabha till recently – V Vijay Sai Reddy and Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy.

And the number went up to six with the election of four more MPs – Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Mopidevi Venkataramana, Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy and Parimal Natwani. This made the YSRC the fourth largest party in Rajya Sabha.
