Former president of India, Pranab Mukherjee aged 84 has passed away a few minutes ago, as stated by his son Abhijit Mukherjee.

Pranab was admitted to RR hospital on August 10th and an emergency surgery to remove a clot in his brain was performed soon after.
Following the surgery, Pranab developed a lung infection and his health condition kept deteriorating further. He had a renal dysfunction as well. A few moments ago, reports emerged that Pranab had breathed his last and his son confirmed the same with an official statement.
Pranab Mukherjee served as the president of India from 2012 to 2017 and is one of the most respected Indian politicians.
