Power Star on silver screen and Powerless Star in politics Shri Pawan Kalyan has released beautiful pictures sitting beside a pile of books and a copper vessel (mara chembu).
He has stapled a black ribbon to his shirt and sat under the tree at his residence in Hyderabad protesting AP government’s lenience in taking action against the culprits behind the burnt chariot in a temple.
The protest can be welcomed but what is he trying to show off by piling up the books beside him?
He has shown Nana Palkihwala’s “We The People”. The book deals with education in democracy, economic growth, social justice, socialism, taxation, crucial constitutional issues and memorable judgements. (This is to give an impression that he is acquiring an all round knowledge on the functioning of all the departments. He must be assuming that people will believe that he can rule not just the state but the entire nation or even the world if given a chance as he is reading this book).
The other book by the same author “We The Nation” is also shown here. This book covers the topics like the potential of India and its great heritage. (Yes, this is to please BJP groups by showing off his interest towards nation’s heritage and nationalist spirit).
Coming to the book “Knowledge and Decisions” by Thomas Sowell, it deals with knowledge sharing in modern society and the differences between the market process and the process of government. (He must be opting this to clear his confusion in taking decisions- whether to grow a long beard or a clean shave or to wear a dhoti or a pyjama or to wear fitflop footwear or go bare feet).
Another book that he has shown off is “Trust” by Iyanla. This book explains about learning to Trust. To be precise it elucidates the four essential trusts—Trust in Self, Trust in God, Trust in Others, and Trust in Life. (This is truly needed for him as he has to learn whether to trust his fans or Chandrababu Naidu or his family members or he himself).
But he didn’t hold any of the above books in hand for the photograph. He has chosen “Culture Matters”. This is an anthology of essays by international journalists and scholars that focuses on how the values change human progress and deals with the hiatus between the people living in freedom and in oppression. (He must be trying to understand the oppression within the freedom. He has chosen to become an MLA out of freedom but his fans have oppressed him with a defeat ).
He has projected all these to prove that he is reading socially and personally relevant matters. But why Telugu Vyakaranam in the middle? What will he do learning sandhulu, samasalu now? This is my layman doubt. If he has interest in learning that there is no problem. He can read/learn whatever he wants. But why to show off? (But yes, there must be a reason. He may be indirectly hinting his protest against the English medium education in AP government schools showing this book. If this is true, wow! what an IQ).
