Medical and Health Minister Etela Rajender while addressing the health departments said
disease mapping should be performed in the areas where fluoride, malaria, covid-19 and other diseases are more prevalent in the state. Accordingly, necessary medicines should be kept in the respective hospitals. On Monday he conducted a review on the medical and health department through a conference. Etala directed that disease mapping and other reforms be initiated in the medical and health departments.
Telangana health ministry decided to make arrangements in every primary health center (PHC) and other hospital so that the every activity can be monitored at the Command and Control Center in Hyderabad. All PHCs and other corporate hospitals were advised to computerize the price and expiry details of medicines in view of public health safety.
Etela Rajender said that unused medicines should not be stored and be discarded timely by hospital management. The health department should see that the money be returned in exchange of unused medicines and ensured that it had been followed as well.
Referral scheme in Government hospitals and support to Asha workers and diseased patients in admitting them in well equipped hospitals need to be facilitated whenever needed. The patient’s health condition should be reported to relatives from time to time, he further added.
