For a few months now, there have been allegations against the way the AP CID and the police department has been working, and as the days pass by, these allegations are only getting worse. The AP CID has been sending notices to whoever a political leader is blaming, whether or not there’s truth to the matter or not. Despite the High Court sending several notices to the CID over the way it’s working, the CID hasn’t had the time or intention to pay heed to it.
The CID has now sent a notice to Bhuma Akhilapriya and several others, who had previously commented on the reckless behaviour of Kurnool MLA Hafeez Khan. When Coronavirus had only just begun in the country, Kurnool was reporting the highest number of cases in Andhra Pradesh. At that point of time, Hafeez had taken away with him a lot of personnel deployed at Coronavirus centers, for his own benefit.
Fact is that politicians keep accusing one another, and most of the time, there’s no truth to these accusations. However, looks like the CID or the AP police department is the least bit bothered about these facts, and is more interested in favouring the ruling party. The CID had previously sent a notice to Nara Chandrababu Naidu himself, asking him submit the proofs regarding the death of a Dalit youth in Chittoor district.
When the CID is itself sending notices to the ex-CM, it’s now wonder that the police department is sending notices to everyone that the members of the YSRCP accuse. The National Human Rights Commission has already started investigating on the way the CID and the police department of Andhra Pradesh is working, after several complaints were registered.
The CID has also filed a cases against Andhra Pradesh Congress leader Gangadhar, for his comments on the failure of the government of AP, to contain and control the spread of Coronavirus. The Congress Party APCC President Sailajanath wrote a letter about the same to the High Court, which had sent a legal service authority member to the President and enquired about the details of the case, to proceed further with the matter.
