Daggubati Purandeswari made heads turn only a few days ago after she was made the National General Secretary in the National Committee of the BJP. She attracted a lot of attention ever since then, with Ministers, MLAs and other party members visiting her to congratulate her.
Purandeswari also actively took part in the party’s affairs for the last couple of months, and has been visiting various places to oversee the affairs. However, she is now hospitalised after testing positive for Coronavirus.
She was running high fever for the past two days, and preferred to stay quarantined at home, after her tests showed that she contracted Coronavirus. With her cough and cold getting worse, though, she has now been hospitalised.
It is being speculated that she must have contracted the virus from the many visitors she had in the last couple of days. All the people who have come in contact with her have also been asked to get themselves checked, to be cautious.
Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu has also contracted Coronavirus, although with mild symptoms. Even Uma Bharati has recently tested positive for the virus, and has been hospitalised as well.
